SUMMARY:High-Level Political Forum 2025
DESCRIPTION:The High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will be convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council. This includes the three-day ministerial segment of the forum from Monday\, 21 July\, to Wednesday\, 23 July 2025\, as part of the High-level Segment of ECOSOC. \nThe theme of the HLPF is “Advancing sustainable\, inclusive\, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for leaving no one behind”. \nThe 2025 HLPF with full appreciation for the integrated\, indivisible and interlinked nature of the Sustainable Development Goals\, will conduct in-depth reviews of: SDG 3. Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages; SDG 5. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls; SDG 8. Promote sustained\, inclusive and sustainable economic growth\, full and productive employment and decent work for all; SDG 14. Conserve and sustainably use the oceans\, seas and marine resources for sustainable development; and SDG 17. Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development.

SUMMARY:Youth Localizing the Pact for the Future (Part 1)
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Youth Localizing the Pact for the Future webinar organized by Champions for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Youth in collaboration with the SDGs Kenya Forum\, the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office\, the National Youth Council\, the UNESCO Youth Forum Kenya and the International Economic Partnerships and Frameworks Coordination Directorate\, State Department for Economic Planning. \nThis is in an effort to localize the inter-governmentally negotiated\, action-oriented Pact for the Future\, the global digital compact and the declaration on future generations adopted during the Summit of the Future in September 2024. The Pact for the Future contains chapters on sustainable development and financing for development; international peace and security; science\, technology and innovation and digital cooperation; youth and future generations; and transforming global governance. \nThe goal of the webinar is to provide a platform for young people to engage with their peers and other stakeholders on the Pact of the Future\, its annexes and how this can be leveraged to accelerate SDGs implementation in Kenya and beyond.
