On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, we co-hosted a National Multi-stakeholders’ SDGs Youth Pre-Conference in collaboration with the Coalition for Sustainable Development and the University of Nairobi Students Association at the main campus of the university.
The youth pre-conference provided a platform for the youth participants to engage with other stakeholders on SDGs implementation and review, increase their level of awareness of the global goals and be sensitized on important related processes leading up to the 2030 deadline.

Alongside the representatives of the host organizations, we also had the National Youth Council and the State Department for Economic Planning giving their key inputs. A panel of youth development experts also highlighted best practices on how they are involved in SDGs processes. Our active participants also outlined recommendations on how they would wish to be involved going forward.
Performances by Kijana Mtanashati & Wangui Kimani demonstrated the importance of using #Art4SustainableDevelopment. Partnering with other stakeholders and use of innovative approaches, such as new social media for SDGs work were also highlighted and emphasized.

The recommendations from the youth pre-conference will be presented during the upcoming National Multi-stakeholders’ Conference 2023.
