Education for Sustainable Development
Young People Championing Sustainable Development
About us

A society where all young people are well informed, economically empowered and actively take part in global development processes regardless of their background, gender, ability, race, ethnicity, religion, or social status.

To raise the levels of awareness and access to information on SDGs hence foster active youth engagement in the implementation and review processes for the realization of a more equitable, progressive and sustainable society.

Our Mandate
Champions for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Youth is a diverse, youth-led organization championing positive youth development, inclusion, and sustainable development in Kenya. Founded in 2019, the organization empowers young people aged 18–35 to actively participate in policy dialogue, advocacy, and action aligned with the SDGs. Through regular hybrid information sessions, dialogues, workshops, and conferences, it equips youth with relevant knowledge and skills to meaningfully engage in SDG implementation, monitoring, and review processes.
The organization has directly and indirectly reached over 40,000 young people through more than 55 sessions conducted across 33 counties, including marginalized and underserved regions. These efforts have resulted in increased youth awareness of the SDGs, improved understanding of governance and accountability mechanisms, and greater participation in national and global development conversations. Campaigns such as #MaYouthNaSDGs and #MaYouthNaPact have further amplified youth voices, including contributions to discussions surrounding the UN Civil Society Conference and the Pact for the Future.
