Champions for SDGs Youth organized for an International Youth Day 2026 on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM EAT. The webinar was hosted in collaboration with the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office, the United Disabled Persons of Kenya, the National Youth Council Kenya, and the International Economic Partnerships and Frameworks Coordination Directorate – State Department for Economic Planning on Microsoft Teams. By showcasing practical examples of youth leadership and innovation, the webinar strengthened awareness on the SDGs, encouraged meaningful youth participation in sustainable development processes, and cultivated a vibrant network of young changemakers working collectively towards a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future. This was well in line with this year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”

Webinar Outcomes:
- Increased visibility and recognition of youth contributions to sustainable development, inspiring greater youth participation in SDG action.
- Participants gained enhanced knowledge of practical approaches, opportunities, and best practices for meaningful youth engagement in SDG implementation and review.
- Stronger networks and partnerships among youth, and other stakeholders, resulting in a more connected community of young changemakers committed to advancing the SDGs.
